Putin says Central Asia summit will promote 'multipolar world'

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday at a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana that the group would promote a fair, multipolar world.

Putin said a declaration to be approved by the 10-member group, including China, Iran, India, Pakistan and four Central Asian states, “emphasises the commitment of all SCO participants to the formation of a just, multipolar world order.”
