DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Leslie was located near latitude 24.4 North, longitude 51.2 West. Leslie is moving toward the north-northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h).A turn toward the north is expected early Friday, followed by a turn towards northeast with an increase in forward speed through the weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph (100 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast to continue and Leslie is forecast to become post-tropical in couple days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 997 mb (29.44 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
