JACK POSOBIEC: Europe can’t even trust its citizens with bottle caps, yet they want troops on the ground in Ukraine?

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday, following Starmer’s statements in the House of Commons regarding military aid to Ukraine. During his show, Posobiec warned that the UK’s approach could lead to direct NATO involvement in the war, potentially escalating into World War 3.

“They want NATO troops on the ground. NATO troops on the ground on the contact line there in Ukraine, there between the Ukrainian army and the Russian army and keep NATO troops in the middle,” Posobiec said, before playing a clip of himself from a year ago speaking to Steve Bannon. In the clip, Posobiec predicted that “Syrianization” would become the policy, with NATO forces acting as a “human meat shield.”

Posobiec said in the clip that while the US would likely avoid direct troop deployment, Poland could take the lead under their globalist leader. “They’re not going to put US troops there, who are they gonna do? They’re going to put the Poles in,” he said. “They’re already talking about mobilizing Polish troops. What you’re going to have Polish troops move in, into western Ukraine. They’re going to say we’re here to stabilize the area. Meanwhile, you’re going to have a massive DMZ in the middle of the country.”

Posobiec argued that European leaders are acting under the influence of globalist forces, particularly in Poland. “The difference being that Poland has an election in a couple of weeks,” he said. “The Polish globalists like [Polish President] Donald Tusk… they’re not going to say Polish troops on the ground,” but will do “whatever their puppet masters in Brussels tell them to do once and if they get elected after these elections that are going to be held in May. in Poland.”

He then turned his attention to the UK and other Western nations. “But what are we hearing? We’re hearing British troops, we’re hearing French troops, maybe even Canadian troops under Governor Justin Trudeau. He continued on to say that Western European governments are “pathetic, they’re broke, they’re living out 1914 fantasies with rusted-out tanks and empty ammo lockers.”

Posobiec also criticized what he described as misplaced priorities among European governments, especially in their complete inability to trust their own citizenry. “Starmer’s yapping about boots on the ground, mate, you can’t even pay your own electric bills. You can’t even trust your people to take” off bottlecaps, noting how bottlecaps are attached to bottles. “You can’t even be trusted with bottle caps, but we’re gonna trust you with main battle tanks, we’re gonna trust you with ISR flights, we’re going to trust you with nuclear weapons and all that? It’s a complete joke.”

Posobiec further questioned European leaders’ commitment to national sovereignty while completely failing to secure their own borders. “Meanwhile, do you expect us to take you seriously when you puff your chests out and you say ‘we stand for nationalism, we stand for freedom, we stand for democracy’ when your own countries are being overrun by invaders from the Third World that are killing and raping your people in the streets every day? We just saw another one happen [today] in Munich,” and “It happened in Munich when we were there… And this has been going on for a decade.”

Posobiec contrasted the European approach with the strategy being pursued by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. “What President Trump is doing with JD Vance is not just about rapprochement, it’s not just about a peace deal with Ukraine, understand that. It’s about resettling the stakes vis-à-vis the global conflict.”

Posobiec explained Trump-Vance approach is focused on recalibrating global alliances rather than escalating conflicts. “Currently, there are three superpowers in the world: the United States, China, and Russia,” he explained, later adding, “What the Biden administration did, and the Obama administration prior to them, was drive China and Russia together.”

“What President Trump and JD Vance are attempting to do is re-engineer a second Sino-Soviet split, and if they can do so, they can then rebalance Russia towards Europe, towards the West, and against China.”

He also noted the strategic importance of India in countering China’s influence. “Russia also has great relations with India. India is, of course, a main antagonist of China. Why? Because India is the only standing army on the Asian continent, or Asian subcontinent in this case, that could stand a force against China. It’s so obvious.”

Posobiec concluded by emphasizing Trump and Vance’s goal of prioritizing US security and prosperity over global interventionism. “Rather than have the third World War actually break off and break out and go hot, which is what they want to happen, what President Trump and JD Vance are doing is saying you know what, rather than overextend ourselves and decide that we’re going to be the world police and we;re going to the backstop the funding of the defense of all of Western Europe… what we’re going to do is say, ‘What makes the United States safer? What makes the United States more secure? What makes the United States more prosperous?’ We’re going to conduct ourselves in this manner.”

Starmer on Monday came out with his four-point plan after reports that he and other European leaders had developed a four-point plan for Ukraine, pending US approval. The plan includes: Continuing military aid to Ukraine and increasing economic pressure on Russia. Starmer noted a new £2.2 billion loan to Ukraine, funded by profits from frozen Russian assets; Ensuring that any peace agreement secures Ukraine’s sovereignty and includes Ukraine in negotiations; Strengthening Ukraine’s defenses post-war to prevent future conflicts; and Forming a “coalition of the willing” to enforce any peace agreement and guarantee long-term stability.

Starmer emphasized the need for American backing and stated that discussions were ongoing to secure US involvement in any potential peace deal. “If there is to be a deal, if there is to be a stopping of the fighting, then that agreement has to be defended, because the worst of all outcomes is that there is a temporary pause and then Putin comes again,” he said.

His remarks followed criticism from Trump, who questioned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s handling of the war and called for more accountability in US aid to Ukraine. Trump has pushed for a resolution that prioritizes US interests, including economic considerations such as access to strategic resources.

Tensions have escalated further after Trump and Vance confronted Zelensky over the conflict in the Oval Office, adding to growing strain between Washington and Kyiv. European leaders, meanwhile, are reevaluating their approach as Trump pursues direct peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a move that some in Europe have criticized as undermining Ukraine’s position.
