DJ Envy Debates Eboni K. Williams Over Truck Driver Comment

DJ Envy of “The Breakfast Club” radio show got into a heated on-air debate with Eboni K. Williams over her refusal to date bus drivers. Williams made the now-viral comments on her “The Grio” podcast show while interviewing Iyanla Vanzant of “Iyanla, Fix My Life” fame. Vanzant asked Eboni if she would date a bus driver while they were discussing the economic difficulties that black men face in America. Eboni said she would date the man if he owned the bus, but not if he drove the bus.

Eboni K. Williams set the internet ablaze when she revealed her dating preferences. Many people were offended because she used certain words like “average” or “mediocre” to describe men who work normal jobs like bus drivers. DJ Envy said that many people called up to the radio station and left comments on the YouTube video of her making the now-viral comments. This resulted in DJ Envy and Eboni K.
