Oil prices are falling as OPEC announced the extension of production curbs into a weakening demand picture.

S&P Futures are slightly lower in a tight trading range this morning as markets await this morning’s Jobless Claims report. PVH, S, SNPS and AEO are all lower after releasing earnings last night. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell spoke positive on the economy yesterday and said that the Fed can be more cautious on lowering interest rates. After the bell today, LULU, VEEV, HPE DOCU, ULTAGTLB & VSCO are scheduled to report earnings. In Europe stocks trading mostly higher despite the political discord in France. Oil prices are falling as OPEC announces its intention to hold back on production hikes until April of 2025.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is scheduled to speak today in his last public statement before the upcoming FOMC meeting. UNH & HOOD have investors days today. Beige Book data is scheduled for release this afternoon. GM forecasts a $5B charge related to its China business in a regulatory filing. On the earning front SNPS, S, PVH, FIVE and AEO are all scheduled to release after the bell. In Europe stocks trading mostly higher as forward Eurozone GDP guidance is looking for 3.3% growth in 2025. Oil prices as markets wait on tomorrow announcement from OPEC on production.

Fed Gov Christopher Waller & NY Fed John Williams spoke yesterday and remain confident on growth and that inflation is headed back to their 2% target. The Amazon Web Service Reinvent conference starts today. Shares of Honeywell are moving lower after releasing weaker guidance after the bell yesterday. AT&T has its investors day today, Robinhood Markets has theirs tomorrow. On the earnings front, CRM PSTG MRVL & OKTA are all scheduled to release after the bell. In Europe stocks trading higher but are cautious on the political discord in France. Oil prices are trading higher as Middle East tensions rise.

S&P Futures are displaying weakness this morning with economic and tariff talk in focus. PMI reports & employment data will higher this weeks economic calendar. Trump issues a 100% tariff threat for countries which attempt to replace the dollar as their reserve currency. CEO to automobile manufacturer Stellantis resigns. Cyber Monday kicks off today, retailers indicate positive sales data for their Black Friday sales events. Semiconductor stocks are weak as the Biden administration is said to be preparing additional curbs on sales of tech to China. In Europe, stocks have reversed course and are now trading higher. Oil prices are trading lower, OPEC pushes back its scheduled meeting by 48 hours.

S&P Futures are displaying positive action this morning as the markets prepares for a shortened trading session for the last trading day of the month. Solid gains in retail & semiconductor stocks. The Biden administration is considering additional restrictions on the sale of semiconductor equipment and AI memory chips to China, however the expectations are for the restrictions to be less stringent than their previous plan. MSFT is under pressure this morning as the FTC is launching a broad investigation. In Europe, stocks have reversed course and are now trading higher. Oil prices are trading lower, OPEC pushes back its scheduled meeting by 48 hours.

S&P Futures are showing some weakness this morning. Markets are gearing up for a flood of economic data today with this morning PCE report in focus. Volumes are expected to be light ahead of the Thanksgiving Day holiday tomorrow which sets the stage for elevated volatility. DELL, CRWD, HPQ & ADSK are all lower after releasing earnings yesterday afternoon. In Europe, stocks are displaying weakness as European markets are expected to be hit the hardest on potential tariffs. Oil prices showing gains as API data indicated a build in stockpiles last night.

S&P Futures have moved from flat to lower to higher. Multiple catalysts are creating volatility this morning. Late yesterday, President-elect Trump made his first comments on his tariff plan since being elected. Trump indicated that he is considering placing tariffs on Canada, China and Mexico. The Biden Administration is proposing anti-obesity drugs be covered by Medicare and Medicaid. Israel’s security cabinet set to vote on a cease-fire deal that would halt fighting between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon. On the Economic front the key report this morning will be the data on Consumer Confidence. This afternoon the Fed will release the meeting minutes from the last Fed meeting. Today is a busy day for earnings announcement as DELL, CRWD, WDAY, ADSK HPQ URBN and others will be reporting after the bell. In Europe, stocks are lower as Europe is seen as the big loser in any trade war. Oil prices showing gains ahead of stockpiles reports.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning. President Elect Trump nominated hedge fund manager Scott Bessent as Treasury Secretary. Bessent will look for the economy to grow its way out of debt and spur bank lending. Multiple key economic reports are due out this week including the Fed meeting minutes and the PCE report. There are a host of earnings reports due out this week, Zoom, Agilent, Dell, Best Buy, CrowdStrike, Autodesk, and retailers Dick’s Sporting Goods and Macy’s. Summit Materials (SUM) is higher as privately held Quikrete is offering $52.50 a share in cash for the company. In Europe, stocks are higher as the EU & China appear to be on track to resolve the recent tariff on Chinese EV into Europe. Oil prices have turned lower as Middle East tensions are falling.

S&P Futures are trading lower this morning as tech stocks are experiencing a pull back in the pre market. Flash PMI data is due out after the open and expectations are for continued signs of growth in both manufacturing and services. ROST, NTAP and GAP are moving higher after releasing earnings last night. Russia indicates that they are open to discussing a peace plan. In Europe, stocks are mostly lower but have been recovering from the early morning lows. Oil prices have turned lower.
