On October 2, 2024, customers at Bank of America reported having issues accessing their bank accounts. Others reported having account balances currently showing $0.
Per the tracking website Downdetector, the outage kicked off around 12:30 p.m. E.T. on October 2.
An hour later, over 20,000 user complaints were submitted through the website. Jack Phillips of The Epoch Times reported multiple cases of BOA members posting screenshots of account balances at $0 across social media platforms.
Even an Epoch Times staff member reported not being able to log in to their BOA account. Several users across social media platforms revealed that BOA had not notified them about the issue.

At the same time, several users have indicated that they have had issues with Zelle, the digital payment system that multiple banks use. Bank of America and several other banks own Zelle.
Thus far BOA has not published details about what’s bringing about this issue. On X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, BOA’s team was replying to complaints by requesting further information from customers.
“Hi, we are sorry to see this. If you’re still experiencing the concern, please click below to let us know. Thank you,” one Bank of America representative said in a post on X to a user who raised concerns about logging in.
Another post from BOA stated:
“Hello, your concern caught our attention. Please use the link below to connect with us and send additional details. We’d be happy to follow up with you.”
The US is clearly going through a phase of wholesale decline. From the way people do banking to collapsing infrastructure, the US is breaking down before our eyes.
This is the product of a collapsing socio-economic system where the ruling class has engaged in myopic thinking and the perpetual pursuit of instant gratification. Until a proper nationalist Right emerges, the US will continue to decay and become a husk of its once great self.
