Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently directed strong criticism toward the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), accusing the agency of compromising public health through its policies. In a post on Twitter, Kennedy stated, “The FDA’s war on public health is about to end,” and delivered a message to employees of the agency, saying, “If you work for the FDA and are part of this corrupt system, I have two messages for you: 1. Preserve your records, and 2. Pack your bags.”

FDA’s war on public health is about to end. This includes its aggressive suppression of psychedelics, peptides, stem cells, raw milk, hyperbaric therapies, chelating compounds, ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, vitamins, clean foods, sunshine, exercise, nutraceuticals and anything…

Kennedy’s criticism targeted the FDA’s approach to regulating a range of therapies and substances, including psychedelics, peptides, and other natural health remedies. He accused the agency of “aggressive suppression” of treatments like raw milk, hyperbaric therapies, and ivermectin, suggesting that these could benefit public health but are not prioritized because they lack patentability by large pharmaceutical companies.
Kennedy has long focused on what he describes as the “institutional capture” of regulatory bodies like the FDA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). He argues that these agencies have become beholden to the industries they are supposed to regulate. According to Kennedy, meaningful reform is necessary to ensure that these organizations prioritize public interest over corporate influence.
His remarks align with the broader vision of his “Make America Healthy Again” campaign, which emphasizes reducing the influence of what he refers to as the “food-industrial complex.” Kennedy has specifically targeted ultra-processed foods, linking their consumption to a wide range of chronic health issues, such as obesity, diabetes, and even conditions like autism and Alzheimer’s.
The debate around FDA reforms has also gained traction among other prominent voices. Billionaire investor Bill Ackman, in a recent CNBC interview, suggested that both Donald Trump and Kennedy could work together to “rein in” the influence of the food industry on public health policies. Ackman highlighted the need to reevaluate the current 73-shot vaccine schedule for children, suggesting that a review of these practices could form part of a broader reform agenda.
