After the bell today ARM, QCOM, GILD, MCK and LYFT are scheduled to release. The FOMC meeting begins today with an announcement scheduled for Thursday. In Europe, markets are higher and economic releases were positive. Oil prices are falling as the API’s stockpile estimates indicated weakness ahead of today EIA report.

EU investigators conducted searches of NFLX offices due to a tax fraud investigation. APO, HIMS, LPX, PLTR & RACE all delivered earnings beats. MPC announced a $5B share buyback. In Europe, markets remain cautiously higher with commodity related stocks trading higher. Oil prices are higher due to positive economic data out of China.

S&P Futures are higher this morning as the markets enter into a week that will be full of market moving headlines. The U.S. elections, Central Bank decisions, and earnings reports will be in focus. The Fed has pushed back their announcement to Thursday due to the election. INTC & DOW are being removed for the DJIA, they are being replaced by NVDA & SHW. Changes are taking place before the open on Friday November 8th. Middle East tensions are on the rise as Iran is threating retaliatory action on Isreal with more powerful warheads. Boeing striking worker are voting on a new proposal today that could end the strike. In Europe, markets are cautiously higher as commodity related stocks gain. Oil prices are spiking higher as Iran tough talk on a pending strike on Isreal is elevating tensions in the region.

S&P Futures are higher this morning in reaction to earnings reports. AMXN, INTC, CVX, CAH and XPM are higher after earnings, AAPL is lower as the street was not impressed with their forward guidance. Today attention will be on the Non-Payrolls report which is expected to come in lower from the Sept figures which would be positive for the markets as it would provide additional confidence for a rate cut next week by the Fed. Shares of Boeing are active as the company has issued a new proposal in an effort to end strike. Vote is Monday and appears likely to pass. Markets will soon start to display caution ahead of the election. The race is too close to call and markets do not like uncertainty. In Europe, markets are rebounding with all three major indexes in the green. Oil prices are spiking higher on reports that Iran is planning retaliatory strikes in the next few days.

In Europe, markets are seeing broad selling with weakness in autos, tech and healthcare. Oil prices are edging higher this morning as API data indicated a draw in stockpiles. There is talk of a possible deal in the Middle East between Israel and Lebanon to cease hostilities.
