In Europe, stocks are mostly lower but have been recovering from the early morning lows. Oil prices have turned lower.

S&P Futures are flat to higher this morning as markets continue to digest the earnings report from Nivida. Despite beating lofty expectations NVDA is trading lower due to concerns about its gross margins. Major brokers remain bullish and continue to raise price their price targets. Economic data is on watch with two key reports and a host of Fed Speak. Russian tensions remain elevated as hostilities continue. After the bell today watch for earnings reports from GAP, NTAP, ROST and INTU. In Europe, stocks opened down but are turning positive. Oil prices are showing gains due to geopolitical issues.

S&P Futures are up modestly this morning as Russian Ukraine tensions ease. The key focus this morning is on the earnings announcement from Nivida. Comcast plans to spin off cable-TV channels including MSNBC, CNBC and USA. Takeover chatter in INCY. Delta is holding an investors day today. In Europe, stocks are display slight gains. S&P Futures are falling this morning as global tensions rise following Russia’s modification of its nuclear doctrine. The changes to Russia’s nuclear policy have created a more uncertain geopolitical environment, which is creating this morning’s bearish sentiment. The Biden Administration is looking to deliver billion of promised chip grants and the FTC is preparing action on GOOG & MSFT before his term ends. Kansas City Fed Jeffery Schmit is schedule to speak today. Shares of SMCI are gaining as they have announced BDO as their auditor. Walmart shares are 4% higher after delivering a beat and raising FY guidance. In Europe, stocks have reversed direction and are now lower due to concerns on an expansion of the Russia Ukraine war. Oil prices falling after rising more than 3% on Monday.

Tesla shares are higher by 7% this morning as the Trump Administration looks to create federal rules for self-driving cars. CVS Health adds 4 board members to satisfy a request from an activist hedge fund. Spirt Airlines filed for bankruptcy protection. President Biden met with China’s President Xi over the weekend. China is more concerned with the incoming administration. Chicago Fed Goolsbee is schedule to speak this morning. In Europe, stocks mainly lower as bond yield tick higher ahead of commentary from ECB officials. Oil prices are slightly higher due to increased geopolitical issues.

S&P Futures are trading lower this morning in a reaction to comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell that the Fed is not in a rush to lower rates. Put volumes soar in drug stocks as President-elect Donald Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a vaccine skeptic and critic of federal health agencies, to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services. Two key economic reports due out this morning, Retail Sales and Industrial Production. SEC filings displaying position adjustments at major funds continue to come in, AAPL is seeing an elevated number of firms existing positions in the last quarter. In Europe, stocks have gone from flat two lower as anxiety builds ahead of the U.S. markets open. Oil prices are slightly lower due to global demand concerns.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning ahead of some key economic reports and comments later today from Fed Chair Jerome Powell. On the earnings front, DIS reported positive results and is trading higher. CSCO, JD also delivered positive results but are moving lower. Capri Holding terminates merger with Tapestry. LLY phase 3 data for tirzepatide was very positive. In Europe, stocks are higher on economic data and upbeat earnings. Oil prices are lightly higher ahead of this morning’s stockpiles report.

S&P Futures are displaying some weakness this morning as markets awaits this morning inflation report. The October CPI reading is due out before the bell. Yields on the 10-year treasury bonds spike yesterday to their highest level since July in anticipation of a hot inflation reading. The 10 yr yield is at 4.416% this morning. Spirt Airlines is expected to file for bankruptcy as Frontier drops its merger bid. Super Micro says that they are unable to file their 10-Q on time. In earnings news SPOT, FLUT, OXY & CAVA traded higher on their releases. After the bell today markets will be watching for earnings results from Cisco. Share of AMGN are higher as company states that there is no link between bone mineral density changes and its weight loss drug “MariTide” In Europe, stocks have moved from higher to flat on the day with inflation data in focus.
