A new voter registration scam has been uncovered in the must-win state of Michigan, whose elections and top law enforcement agency are headed up by Democrats with a less-than-stellar reputation for honesty or fairness.
Last year, The Gateway Pundit reported about a massive statewide voter registration scheme that we discovered after an MI election integrity expert, Phil O’Halloran, shared a shocking MI State Police report with me.

The investigation, which began only one month before the 2020 election, was hidden from the public, and, perhaps even more shocking, it was hidden from Michigan clerks, who are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the elections.
Ann Meisch, the Muskegon, MI clerk, notified the local Muskegon Police Department when she received between 8,000 and 10,000 voter registrations in the mail with the initials “E.M.” (Empower Michigan) and a return address from the Staybridge Hotel in Auburn Hills, MI, (which is on the other side of the state).

Ukraine Says Its Biggest Problem Is Western Concern For Escalation

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Wednesday that the biggest problem Kyiv has faced in its war against Russia is the Western concern for escalation and the risk of provoking Moscow.
“Ever since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the biggest problem Ukraine has been facing is the domination of the concept of escalation in the decision-making processes among our partners,” Kuleba said, according to Reuters.
The foreign minister’s comments come as Ukraine is pushing hard for the US to allow long-range strikes inside Russian territory using US-provided missiles. Russia has strongly warned against the move and suggested that it would risk World War III.
“The war is always about a lot of hardware: money, weapons, resources but the real problems are always here, in the heads,” Kuleba said.
“Most of our partners are afraid of discussing the future of Russia… This is something that is very upsetting because if we do not speak about the future of the source of threat, then we cannot build strategy.”
Throughout the war, the US and NATO have taken steps that they previously ruled out over escalation concerns, such as providing tanks and fighter jets.
The most recent significant escalation was President Biden’s decision to give Ukraine the greenlight to use US weapons in attacks on Russian border regions. A few months later, Ukraine launched its invasion of Kursk.

Kuleba made the comments during a conversation with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who expressed support for allowing Ukraine to launch long-range strikes with NATO weapons. Sikorski said NATO should “let Ukraine fight with whatever it has, with whatever we have delivered them, and let’s deliver them more.”

Kamala Harris on CNN: ‘Bidenomics’ Is ‘Good Work’
Vice President Kamala Harris took ownership of the policies that led to costs soaring about 20 percent across the board during CNN’s Thursday interview.
“There’s more to do. But that’s good work,” Harris said about “Bidenomics,” as CNN’s Dana Bash referenced the economic policies under the Biden-Harris administration:

“You have been vice president for three and a half years. The steps that you’re talking about now, why haven’t you done them already?” Bash asked Harris.
“Well, first of all, we had to recover as an economy, and we have done that. I’m very proud of the work that we have done that has brought inflation down to less than three percent,” she said.
“And you maintain Bidenomics is a success,” Bash followed up.
Harris replied, noting that Bidenomics is “good work”:
I maintain that when we do the work of bringing down prescription medication for the American people, including capping the cost of the annual cost of prescription medication for seniors at $2,000 when we do what we did in the first year of being in office to extend the child tax credit so that we cut child poverty in America by over 50% when we do what we have done to invest in the American people, in bringing manufacturing back to the United States, so that we created over 800,000 new manufacturing jobs, bringing business back to America. What we have done to improve the supply chain so we’re not relying on foreign governments to supply American families with their basic needs. I’ll say that that’s good work. There’s more to do, but that’s good work.

Fact Check: Harris Falsely Claims The Economy Needed To Be Rescued When She Took Office
Claim: Kamala Harris said the American economy was in terrible shape when she took office.
“The economy had crashed, in large part because of the mismanagement by Donald Trump of that crisis. When we came in, our highest priority was to rescue America,” Harris said in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash that aired on Thursday night.
Verdict: False.
The American economy was rapidly recovering from the pandemic and lockdowns before Kamala Harris and Joe Biden took office. In the third quarter of 2020, the economy grew at an annual pace of 34.8 percent, according to the Department of Commerce. The following quarter, it grew at an annual rate of 4.2 percent. In the first quarter of 2021, the economy grew at an annual rate of 5.2 percent.
Unemployment, which had soared when businesses were ordered to close their doors during the pandemic, was also rapidly falling. After hitting a high of 14.8 percent in April of 2020, the unemployment rate had fallen to 6.4 percent when Harris was sworn in as Vice President.
Far from “mismanagement” worsening the economic challenge caused by the pandemic, the Trump administration’s response avoided what would otherwise have been an economic calamity.
This is a falsehood that Joe Biden has told many times over the years, stretching back to the 2020 campaign. The Biden-Harris administration then used this mischaracterization of the economy in 2021 as the rationale for passing the massive $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that was a major contributor to the worst surge of inflation in 40 years.

US Defense Department to help protect presidential candidates
The US Defense Department will provide “protective support” to major presidential and vice presidential candidates, increasing its assistance to the country’s Secret Service, the Pentagon said on Thursday.
The announcement comes after a gunman lightly wounded Republican candidate Donald Trump and killed a campaign rally attendee last month — a major failing in Secret Service protection.
“The Department of Defense will provide protective support” until the election in November and likely through the presidential inauguration in January 2025, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh told journalists.
US defense chief Lloyd Austin approved a request from Homeland Security for the assistance, directing the military command responsible for North America to give additional backing to the Secret Service at locations across the country, Singh said.
Trump was wounded in the right ear at a July 13 campaign rally in Pennsylvania by a shooter who was subsequently killed by a Secret Service countersniper.
Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle resigned in July after acknowledging that the agency had failed in its mission to prevent the assassination attempt, while US media reported earlier this month that multiple agents had been placed on leave.

Thursday, during a portion of an interview that was aired on CNN’s “Situation Room,” 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris said she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet.
CNN host and Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash asked, “You had a lot of Republican speakers at the convention. Will you appoint a Republican to your cabinet?”
Harris said, “Yes, I would.”
Bash followed up, “Any one in mind?”
Harris said, “No one in particular in mind.”
Harris added, “I’ve got — we’ve got 68 days to go with this election. So, I’m not putting the cart before the horse, but I would. I think it’s really important. I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion. I think it’s important to have people at the table and when some of the most important decisions are being made that have different views, different experiences. And I think it would be to the benefit of the American public to have a member of my cabinet who was a Republican.”
