The missile barrage, launched by Iran on October 1, targeted major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. While most missiles were intercepted, one civilian, a Palestinian man, was killed. Iran claims the attack was retaliation for Israelâs targeted assassinations of high-ranking terrorist figures, including Hezbollah founder Hassan Nasrallah.
Netanyahu has pledged that Israelâs counterstrike will focus on military installations, steering clear of Iranâs oil refineries and nuclear facilities.
