Daughter of Frenchman who drugged wife, enlisted dozens to rape her tells him ‘you will die alone like a dog’

The daughter of Dominique Pelicot, the Frenchman who admitted to drugging his wife of 50 years and allowing dozens of men to rape her, told her father that he would “die alone like a dog” for what he did.

Pelicot has admitted to drugging his wife and inviting strangers on the internet to meet up and rape her over the span of 10 years. However, on Wednesday morning, he continued to deny that he had also drugged his daughter, Caroline Darian. His daughter believes she was similarly drugged and offered to men after finding photos on her father’s hard disk of her semi-naked and wearing underwear that is not hers, according to a report by The Times.

In his final statement on Wednesday, Pelicot said, “I would like to look my daughter straight in the eye and tell her that I did nothing [to her].”

Darian responded by shouting, “I’ll never see you again! You’ll die alone like a dog,” according to the Daily Mail.

When questioned by his lawyer, Pelicot admitted to having been a “sex addict.” However, he has maintained that he had not abused his daughter.

“Even if she no longer loves me, I know what I did and I know what I did not do,” he said. “To tell me to die like a dog does not change my feelings for her.”

Pelicot did later add, “If I did take those pictures [of Caroline drugged and semi-naked] then I don’t remember taking them.”

In her final address to the court on Tuesday, Pelicot’s wife Gisele called the men alleged to have raped her “cowards,” saying that she will not “feel at peace” until the end of her life.

“I’ll learn to live with it. I’ll rebuild myself. But there’ll forever be 51 people who have defiled me,” she said.

The trial is expected to conclude at the end of the year. It was previously delayed in September due to Pelicto’s declining health when he was temporarily admitted to the hospital.
