Jack Posobiec hosted Roger Stone on Wednesday’s episode of Human Events Daily to discuss how the deep state has been reluctant to confirm President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for his administration, particularly Pete Hegseth.
“Traditionally, senators would only oppose a presidential nominee if there was some evidence of wrongdoing or illegality on their part,” Stone explained. “You weren’t supposed to oppose a nominee just because you disagree with their political philosophy or their positions, because, most naturally, they’re just going to reflect those of the president who appointed them.”
Even Republican Senators have spoken out against Trump’s admin picks. Stone exemplified Republican Oklahoma Senators James Lankford and Mark Wayne Mullen who said they may not vote in favor of confirming Kash Patel, Trump’s pick for FBI Director. He urged the audience to make it known to their Senators that “You expect them to support the President’s nominees, and if they don’t, you will remember them when they’re challenged in the Republican primary or in a future election.”
“Hopefully Senator Lankford will come around. But people, the people have spoken, but they need, Jack, they need to speak again now. They need to speak up for Pete Hegseth, they need to speak up for Kash Patel, they need to speak up for Tulsi Gabbard. They need to speak up for all of these nominees, because the deep state is committed to trying to derail the Trump revolution. There’s still no question about that,” Stone concluded.
