The official account of a New Year’s Day bombing outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas is facing mounting scrutiny as new details emerge about the cryptic warnings sent by Master Sergeant Matthew Alan Livelsberger, a highly decorated Green Beret, just days before the incident. Authorities claim Livelsberger rented a Tesla Cybertruck, packed it with fireworks, and detonated it in front of the hotel before taking his own life with a .50 caliber Desert Eagle handgun. However, inconsistencies in the official narrative and the contents of a chilling email he sent before the explosion are raising serious questions.

Livelsberger, 37, served in the U.S. Army for 17 years and earned numerous accolades, including two Bronze Stars—one with a valor device for courage under fire—a Combat Infantry Badge, and an Army Commendation Medal with valor. The Army confirmed he was on approved leave at the time of the incident. Yet, the events surrounding his death have been anything but straightforward. Investigators recovered multiple firearms, his military ID, passport, and credit cards from the Cybertruck, but details about his final actions and motives remain murky.
Days before the explosion, Livelsberger reached out to retired Army CW2 Sam Shoemate, a former intelligence officer and whistleblower who operates the Instagram account Terminal CWO. Using encrypted ProtonMail, Livelsberger sent a startling email that began ominously: “What I’m going to send you is going to change the course of humanity.” He detailed a series of alarming claims about national security threats, military coverups, and his own surveillance by federal agencies. The email has since become central to understanding the motivations behind the explosion.
In the email, Livelsberger alleged that the U.S. and China possess advanced drones powered by gravitic propulsion systems, capable of undetectable surveillance and massive payload delivery. He described these drones as the greatest national security threat in history, claiming China had been launching them from submarines off the U.S. East Coast as a show of force. He also accused U.S. agencies, including the Department of Defense, DEA, and CIA, of covering up civilian deaths from airstrikes in Nimruz Province, Afghanistan, in 2019. According to Livelsberger, these strikes killed hundreds of civilians in a single day, yet efforts were made to suppress the incident to avoid international backlash.
Livelsberger revealed he was under surveillance by Homeland Security and the FBI, describing his fears of being tracked as he attempted to flee to Mexico. “I have a massive VBID [vehicle-borne improvised explosive device]… They are digitally tracking me,” he wrote, expressing doubts about whether he would succeed in crossing the border. Despite his apparent plans to escape, he ended up at Trump International Hotel, a high-profile location that has fueled speculation about his true intentions.
