Did CIA files reveal the Ark of the Covenant was found?

The whereabouts of the Ark of the Covenant, which Christians believe holds the Ten Commandments, may have been hidden in plain sight all along – at least, that’s what certain CIA files suggest, Daily Mail reported.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the Bible states that the Ark was built by the Israelites around the 13th century BC, with Moses placing the stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments inside the chest.

Recently resurfaced CIA files from the 1980s suggest that Ethiopia could be the location of the Ark of the Covenant. During that time, the CIA conducted experiments involving individuals who claimed to have the ability to gather information about objects, people, and events from great distances.

One such individual reportedly provided coordinates pointing to an object resembling the Ark somewhere in the Middle East, noting that people in the area were “speaking Arabic.”

“The target is a container. This container has another container inside of it,” the document states. “The target is fashioned of wood, gold, and silver… and it is decorated with [a six-winged angel],” the individual described to the CIA.

Of course, these claims should be taken with skepticism. Still, the story remains intriguing.

The Ark has been considered “missing” since 586 BC, when it reportedly vanished during the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem. Some believe it could still be somewhere in the Holy Land, while others suggest it may have been taken as far as Ethiopia.

The same psychic who provided the coordinates also described structures resembling mosque domes and people dressed in all white, with dark hair and eyes.

“The target is hidden—underground, dark, and wet were all aspects of the location of the target,” they said. “The purpose of the target is to bring people together. It has something to do with ceremony, memory, homage, the resurrection.”

“There is an aspect of spirituality, information, lessons, and historical knowledge far beyond what we now know.”

Even more chillingly, the psychic claimed that anyone who attempted to forcibly open the container would be “destroyed by the container’s protectors through the use of a power unknown to us.”

In 2018, a group of American Christians claimed to have discovered the Ark inside a remote church in Africa, where it is supposedly guarded by monks.

The Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration Institute (BASE) reported speaking to locals, including a monk who identified himself as the Guardian of the Ark at the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Axum, Ethiopia.

However, many researchers quickly dismissed the claim, leaving the true location of the Ark a mystery.
