JACK POSOBIEC: GOP needs to ‘Soros-max’ after Wisconsin Supreme Court loss

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec reacted to the GOP’s loss in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election on Tuesday by saying conservatives need to adopt the tactics used by globalist leftist billionaire George Soros. Posobiec said that the left’s strategy of long-term political investment is what keeps them winning and that MAGA needs to build a similar operation.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court race ended with liberal judge Susan Crawford defeating conservative Brad Schimel. This shifts the court’s balance to 4-3 in favor of liberals, with possible implications for congressional redistricting. The race was considered a key battle for both parties.

On his show, Posobiec called the loss a “gut-punch” and said conservatives need to step up their game.

“Folks, last night was a gut-punch. Wisconsin Supreme Court race went blue, we lost a chance to shift the balance in a key battleground state. We got a few shots in. Florida, predictably went our way. Voter ID in Wisconsin passed. But in this house of cards you need more than layups to prevent collapse. You need more patriots, more activation, more commitment to make this mandate a reality.”

He pointed out that Elon Musk put over $20 million into the election, outspending Soros, but it still wasn’t enough. According to Posobiec, the left simply runs a better election strategy and the GOP is failing to build the necessary infrastructure.

“You can’t rely on big names like Trump and Elon to help us in every off-cycle election. You need a machine that fights every single race down to the local level. Look at Soros. He’s been playing the game for decades. Every time someone runs, from mayors to school boards, he builds systems that are hard to crack. Even local libraries, like we talked about in Unhumans.”

Posobiec then promoted the idea that the GOP needs to fully commit to grassroots organizing, similar to leftist Soros-funded groups. He called this approach “Soros-maxing,” essentially trying to convey that conservatives have to match Soros’ dedication and strategic planning.

“As Autism Capital on X said today, we need to Soros-max. Match that energy with a full-time operation that lives and breathes local elections. Something Republican ethos has always shied away from but can’t ignore any more.”

He also criticized the GOP for failing to tap into the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) movement, which focuses on issues like nutrition and corruption in healthcare. Posobiec believes MAHA could have attracted new voters, particularly those resonating with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s message, but the party ignored it.

“The GOP still doesn’t understand the Trump coalition. You need to engage working-class voters, not talk down to them. We need to show who we are and that we are fighting for them. This is the fatal mistake… The GOP did not engage the MAHA movement. Make America Healthy Again had the momentum, focusing on issues like nutrition and big money in health care and they were left on the sidelines. MAHA could have brought in new voters, especially with RFK’s message of exposing corruption, the GOP hasn’t tapped into that energy.”

He said conservatives must invest in early voting, build infrastructure, and create a strong, consistent political machine.

“We are playing catch-up against a machine that has been Soros for years and last night proved that you can’t win by just showing up on election day. You have to vote early, you need to invest, you need infrastructure. You need to build your own army starting now, Turning Point Action… That’s the way. Ladies and gentlemen, we need to Soros-max.”
