Jack Posobiec was joined by Scott Horton, host of Antiwar Radio, on Friday’s episode of Human Events Daily to talk about how Trump is positioned to end the war in Ukraine and Russia, and Horton’s new book which details how Washington DC provoked the Cold War with Russia and subsequently the war in Ukraine.
Posobiec said that the president-elect is “poised to end the war in Ukraine” as he takes office. “Trump’s strategy is clear” to end the war through “leveraging his unique diplomatic style” that will bring both countries to the negotiating table, Posobiec added in the intro.
Horton said that “Ukraine is not America’s Eastern frontier,” adding that President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to end the war in Ukraine for the sake of peace. He spoke on how Trump was taught all about nuclear weapons by his uncle who was a professor and is therefore intelligent enough to know that the United States would not want any part of a conflict with Russia “over something as trivial as the eastern border of Ukraine.”
“And especially when the American side did so much to cause the controversy in the first place, there must be a way that we can ramp this thing down and have a negotiated settlement and guarantee to turn the risk of nuclear war way back down towards zero again,” he said.
Posobiec noted that Trump’s cabinet members such as incoming Vice President JD Vance, Pete Hegseth, and Tulsi Gabbard are “veterans of the war on global terror” and know what war is like and will help to bring peace with Trump.
“And these are people, by the way, who saw firsthand where this stuff can go, at least on just that level, on a kinetic level, not to mention a nuclear level,” he added. “And so I think it’s perfect that it’s actually people that have experienced war up front, these combat veterans saying, ‘Hey guys, we need to pump the brakes on this stuff.'”
