S&P Futures are higher in the pre-market as markets await todays statement from the Fed. HUM, BWA, DD, ANET, AMD & MSFT all delivered beats. After the bell today we hear from META, QCOM, ARM, LRCX & ETSY. Microsoft’s overall sales and profit growth beat expectations, but revenue in its cloud-computing business narrowly missed. Israel is thought to be behind a missile strike inside Iran that killed a Hamas leader overnight, which is causing oil price to move higher. Japan, South Korea and the Netherlands are said to be excluded from the list of countries being blacklisted for chip sales, final rules to be published next month. In Europe, markets are higher due to positive corporate earnings updates and indications that a stimulus plan from China will soon be released.

S&P Futures are higher in the pre-market as markets await a host of key earnings reports. MRK, PFE, JBLU & SWK have already reported positive earnings this morning. After the bell today we hear form MSFT, AMD, ANET, SBUX & QRVO. Tomorrow there are two cental Bank announcements, one from the Fed and on from the Bank of Japan. The BOJ and the BOE are also having cental bank meetings this week. Oil prices continue to trend lower on demand concerns and in Europe, markets are mixed to higher as the EuroZone GDP growth rates came in higher than the estimates.

S&P Futures are positive this morning as we head into one of the busiest weeks of the summer. The focus is on corporate earnings and this week’s FOMC meeting. MCD & ON are set to report this morning along with a host of big tech earnings due out later this week. There is an FOMC meeting with an announcement scheduled for Wednesday where it is expected they will shift their narrative from inflation to employment. The BOJ and the BOE are also having cental bank meetings this week. NVDA’s CEO is also scheduled to speak today after the closing bell. In Europe, markets are mixed as early market gains have cooled down.

There were no major earnings reports last night, this morning CL & MMM shares are rising on positive earnings results. Autos, banks and tech stocks are showing gains this morning. Next week is a very active week for the markets with earnings reports due out from MSFT, AAPL, AMZN & META. There is also a Fed announcement and a host of employment data on tap. S&P Futures are continuing to fall as the market is overwhelmed with a bearish sentiment. This morning’s GDP and Jobless Claims report could turn out to be key catalysts today. Positive earnings reports from CMG, IBM NOW & KLAC and shares are higher. This morning AZN & HON delivered beats but are falling in the pre-market. China’s Cental Bank delivered a surprised rat cut overnight. BAC CARR & HOG all announced big share buybacks. In Europe, markets are lower due to disappointing earnings results.
