S&P Futures are flat to higher this morning with the market’s attention on earnings reports. Tech stocks are showing positive action this morning as PANW delivered a solid beat last night. MDT beat, LOW also delivered a beat but cut its forward guidance. After the bell today TOL and KEYS will be releasing and tomorrow morning M. TGT, TJX & ADI are scheduled to report. PARA received a 4.3B bid from Edgar Bronfman. The EU plans to cut tariffs on TSLA’s China made EV’s to 9% from 20.8%. In Europe, stocks just gave up their earlier gains and are now slightly lower. Oil prices just reversed course and are now displaying gains on the day.

S&P Futures are flat to lower this morning as the markets prepares for a host of retail earnings this week and the Jackson Hole conference. Fed Chairman Powell is scheduled to speak at 10:00 am on Friday. Powell is expected to provide clarity on the September rate cut along with a pivot on the Fed focus from Inflation to Employment. In Europe, market markets are mixed after a slow start. Gains in Autos and Banks. Oil prices continue to weaken, as economic data out of China continues to point to a fall in forward demand.

AMAT released an earning beat after the close on Thursday. China’s central bank expected to lower its prime rate next week. UK Retail Sales figures were positive but lower than market expectations. Fed Chair Jerome Powell to speak next Friday at the Jackson Hole conference at 10:00 am. In Europe, market are mostly higher with gains in autos and tech. Oil is lower by more than 2%, ceasefire talks are continuing.

S&P Futures are displaying gains this morning ahead of a number of economics reports due out before the opening bell. This mornings Retail Sales and Jobless Claims are key reports as they provide a real insight into the health of the economy. A host of 13F filing came in after the bell displaying position adjustments by the major hedge funds. Markets are pricing in earnings beats from CSCO, JD DE & NICE. WMT release is pending. After the bell today AMAT is scheduled to report. China’s economic reports overnight were mixed, U.K. GDP came in at +0.6%. Oil prices are positive this morning with the Ceasefire talks happening today. In Europe, all three of the major indexes are flat to higher and awaiting economic data releases from the U.S.

PTON is higher after announcing a deal with Google. CAH released an earnings beat while EAT missed this morning. Oil prices have given back earlier gain and are now lower. In Europe, stocks have turned lower.
