S&P Futures are flat to lower and as expected are staying in a tight trading range this morning. Two key economic reports are due out before the bell (CPI & Jobless Claims) either report could create volatility for the markets this morning. DAL & DPZ are moving lower after announcing earnings this morning. COST released Sept sales data which showed an increase of 6.7%. Two big events today, AMD’s Advancing AI conference and TSLA RoboTaxi announcement. Toronto-Dominion Bank is expecting to pay about 3B to settle money laundering issues. In Europe, markets are mixed to lower with Middle East tensions and next week’s ECB announcement in focus. Oil prices are showing gains of more than 1% in the pre-market.

S&P Futures are displaying solid gains this morning. Markets await a key employment report this morning, the monthly non farms payrolls data. Retail stocks are gaining as port workers are returning to the job. Apollo is in talks to buy Barnes Group for $45 a share. Spirt airlines is in talks for a bankruptcy filing. The European Union is set to impose tariffs of up to 45% on electric cars made in China. In Europe, markets are mostly higher. Oil prices are higher as risk premium continue to inflate ahead of the expected Israeli strike against Iran.

S&P Futures are lower this morning as market continue to pay attention to geopolitical events in the Middle East. On the calendar for today are reports on Jobless Claims and Factory orders along with updates on the services sector. LEVI is falling after reporting earnings last night, STZ is scheduled to report this morning. Autos and banks are lower and Chinese retailers are falling due to profit taking. In Europe, markets mostly lower, weakness in the British Pound is a positive for U.K. stocks. Oil prices are showing strong gains as markets await a response from Israel on the recent Iranian strike.

In Europe, markets are gaining, autos & luxury and mining’s stocks are higher. Oil prices are off by 2%. Saudia Aribia is said to be abandoning its $100 barrel price target as it looks to ramp up production.
