Looking ahead to next week, earnings announcements are due out MU, LEN, PAYX, CTAS, FDX & NKE. FOMC meeting with announcement on Wednesday. The Fed will be updating their Dot Plot at this meeting. Congress needs to pass a continuing resolution by Dec 20th to avoid a partial government shutdown. In Europe stocks trading higher as market anticipate additional rate cuts next year, Oil prices are ticking higher as the Biden Admin is said to be preparing additional sanctions on Russian oil.

Ceasefire agreement in Gaza is closer as Hamas makes concessions on hostages release and Israeli troops placements In Europe stocks trading slightly higher as markets await the ECB news. Oil prices are ticking higher as the Biden Admin is considering its options on Russian and Venezuelan oil.

ADBE is scheduled to release earnings after the close, COST & AVGO to report on Thursday. Monetary policy meeting in Canada today, The ECB meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. In Europe stocks trading slightly higher. Oil prices are higher by more than 1% this morning.

S&P Futures are displaying positive action in the pre-market. Economic calendar is light today and markets are looking ahead to tomorrow’s inflation report (CPI). Microsoft is having a shareholder meeting today where a vote will be held on adding Bitcoin to its balance sheet. Speculation about a tie up between MDLZ & HSY would be challenging as a buyout of Hershey would require approval from the Hersheys Trust. AI, MTN & UNFI are higher after earnings. After the bell today PLAY and GME will be releasing. Macy’s announced late yesterday that they now intend to release earnings tomorrow morning. President Biden is scheduled to speak today at 12:15 on his economic playbook. VP Harris on Tuesday said the Commerce Dept finalized the grant, which will fuel up to $125 billion in planned investments by Micron in New York and Idaho over two decades. In Europe stocks trading mostly lower in a reaction to weak economic data out of China. Oil prices are slightly lower this morning.

Oil prices are falling as OPEC announces its intention to hold back on production hikes until April of 2025.
